Thrilled to introduce Alexius Folk, who started in May from his Oslo home and has now joined us in Bergen. In his PhD he will focus on fitness estimates and selection under various scenarios.

We are currently delayed in our plans, working from home at a time when we should have been busy in the lab studying human-induced parasite evolution.

All of this due to a parasite having adapted to a new, huge, and dense host population: humans. Note the irony...

Fortunately, a new person will soon be "joining" us to start their PhD within ParAnthropE. From a distance at first, and hopefully soon in person !
